Aptitude Named One of the 50 Fastest-Growing Companies in Region

Most weekdays, you can find Aptitude founder Matt Mierek strategizing about his latest apartment remodel or discussing an upcoming renovation to a local restaurant. But on Wednesday, Aug. 21, he was staring down a different interior—the interior of the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac ballroom.

Mierek was in attendance representing Aptitude at St. Louis Small Business Monthly’s annual Future50 awards ceremony luncheon. Aptitude Design & Build had been selected from a wide range of St. Louis’ most promising emerging small businesses for the honor, which seeks to identify the 50 fastest-growing businesses in the region—in other words, Aptitude and the 49 other honorees are the “ones to watch.”

For Mierek, news of the award came as a great honor. Small Business Monthly President Ron Ameln notified Mierek of the award in a letter, in which he detailed the contributions Aptitude and the other winning small businesses had made to the greater St. Louis business community as a whole. “Your story will not only be inspiring to others, but will encourage others to start their own endeavors,” he concluded.

Without a doubt, Aptitude’s status as a success story in the community is well documented. As a Better Business Bureau accredited business with an A+ rating and an ever-lengthening list of emphatic reviews from satisfied customers, Aptitude has come to be synonymous with delivering on-time, on-budget renovations regardless of size and scope for both commercial and residential clients. Aptitude’s clientele are prone to be repeat customers, and word travels fast throughout the St. Louis area.

As an honoree, Aptitude will also be recognized in the upcoming September issue of St. Louis Small Business Monthly, which is their annual Future50 edition. Looking toward 2020, Aptitude is poised for further success, with this award signaling that the best is yet to come.
