Commercial Office Remodel in St. Louis | Custom Conference Room & Collaborative Workspace

The goal of this commercial office remodel for Simploy was to create a new conference room that supported the company’s growth while also improving the overall functionality and experience of the office environment.

After meeting with the leadership team, Aptitude Design & Build recognized an opportunity to create more than just a traditional conference room. Rather than designing a large meeting space that would only be used occasionally, the team developed a multi-functional environment that could support collaboration, informal meetings, client interactions, and everyday team connection.

Transforming Multiple Offices into One Collaborative Space

The original area consisted of six small private offices that made the space feel segmented and closed off. The first phase of the renovation involved opening the entire area into a larger, more flexible layout.

The redesigned space now allows for multiple uses while still creating smaller zones within the overall footprint. This approach helps the office feel open and connected without losing warmth or functionality.

Creating a Strong First Impression

One of the primary goals of the project was creating a conference space that would immediately leave an impression on prospective clients and visitors.

To achieve this, Aptitude Design & Build incorporated several custom architectural and design features throughout the space.

Custom Conference Table and Circular Soffit

A custom-built conference table was designed specifically for the room, creating a strong visual centerpiece within the office. Above the table, Aptitude installed a matching circular soffit that helps define the conference area and adds architectural interest to the space.

Frosted Glass Walls and Accent Features

Frosted glass walls provide separation and privacy while still allowing natural light to move throughout the office. Additional design elements such as accent lighting and a custom feature wall behind the television help create a more layered and visually engaging environment.

These details also help break the larger room into smaller functional spaces without making the office feel divided or closed off.
