When Aptitude Design & Build first met with this family, the primary goal was clear: improve the functionality and efficiency of the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room while creating spaces that better supported the family’s everyday routines.

Rather than expanding the home’s footprint, the design focused on using the existing space more effectively to create improved flow, additional storage, and more practical features tailored to the family’s needs.

Kitchen Remodel Designed for Cooking and Gathering

The kitchen renovation centered on improving workflow, increasing prep space, and creating a more comfortable environment for cooking and entertaining.

Aptitude Design & Build incorporated a large butcher block-topped island that provides generous space for both food preparation and serving. The expanded island also creates a natural gathering point within the kitchen for family and guests.

The remodel also included the installation of a significantly larger range, effectively doubling the family’s cooking capacity and allowing multiple dishes to be prepared at the same time.
